The Guardian reports that the Chilcot enquiry into the Iraq War has heard criticisms that the then chancellor, Gordon Brown, did not give enough money to fund Basra, the area for which Britain was responsible at the end of the war.

Nick Clegg, has led calls for Gordon Brown to give evidence to the Iraq War enquiry before the general election so that people can know what role Gordon Brown played in the Iraq War decision before they cast their votes in the election.
