The preliminary agenda for the 2007 Brighton Conference has been published

The Liberal Democrats have published the preliminary agenda for the Party's main Autumn Conference to be held in Brighton in September. Key issues to be debated include poverty, taxation, climate change, and local government. There will also be policy motions on a diverse range of subjects from prison to tourism.

The Conference is being held from 15th to 20th of September in the Brighton Centre. As well as the policy debates there will be special consultative sessions on Europe, Further and Higher Education, Housing, and the Private Finance Initiative (PFI). There will be a larger than ever number of training sessions, as well as the usual host of fringe meetings and exhibition stalls. The keynote speech is due to be delivered by Jose Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission.

The Liberal Democrats website contains registration forms and accommodation details for the Conference. All members of the Liberal Democrats are entitled to attend Conference, subject to payment of the appropriate registration fee. Only conference representatives elected by local Liberal Democrat parties, and Parliamentarians, can vote on policy motions and other Conference business.
