Nigel Ashton launches his campaigning website

This is a new campaigning website for Southport. I'm Nigel Ashton and I'm a long time Liberal activist. I hope this site will become an important campaigning resource for the Southport Liberal Democrats. I shall also use it to support my new role as Membership Secretary."

I hope to combine an interesting mix of local and national issues and, of course, news from our excellent local MP John Pugh and the energetic team of local Liberal Democrat councillors.

There are also links to a variety of useful resources for local Lib Dem members including a diary of forthcoming events, hot links to a number of current national Liberal Democrat campaigns and a rolling news service.

I'd like to thank Tim Prater of Prater Raines Partners for helping me to get this website going. I'm proud to be part of the increasing network of Liberal Democrat campaigning websites across the country.
